specifically aims to:

• Recognize excellence in service and performance by the midwife and her clinic

• Recognize and inspire innovations and replications of outstanding practices in the promotion and delivery of services on family planning

• Recognize outstanding collaborations of a WFMC and its various local partners in providing excellent service to the Filipino family

Five distinguished awards will be given to midwives who in the course of carrying out their duty were able to enrich their lives and of those in their community though offering quality health care and by maximizing opportunities for livelihood.

Excellence in Patient Care

Outstanding midwife who has demonstrated excellence in patient care and dedication to serving her clients thus embodying professionalism of the highest order.

Excellence in Family Planning Initiatives

Outstanding midwife who exemplifies dedication to serving her clients through her initiative and creativity in promoting the WFMC's services and expanding family planning coverage in the community.

Excellence in Leadership

Outstanding midwife whose leadership in the community is demonstrated by the influence she exercises in promoting family planning and in serving the interests of the community, toward ensuring the well-being and health of the Filipino family.

Excellence in Business Management

Outstanding midwife who has demonstrated excellence in business management practices and innovations that has helped ensure her clinic's sustained and consistent quality service and performance.

Excellence in Collaborations

Outstanding partnerships between midwife and a local institution in undertaking creative and sustainable community-wide family planning and responsible parenthood programs.

Hall of Fame for the Multi-awarded Midwife Entrepreneur

The award recognizes the midwife entrepreneur and her clinic for winning three WFMC Diamond Awards of any category. The awardee is elevated to the hall of fame for consistent, unwavering excellence in these categories over time.

*All awardees must have passed pre-qualification requirements of the WFMC Diamond Award Program and have gone through the criteria verification process conducted by an independent body.
