KFI Cluster Meeting Held
A Franchise Agreement cascading session was held during the KFI cluster meeting last October 8, 2004 at Estosan Hotel, Cotabato City. WPFI Attends Expo on Corporate Social Responsibility
WPFI, represented by clinic managers Flor Raymundo and Remedios Gonzales, participated in the Expo 2004 on Corporate Social Responsibility dubbed “May Bukas Ka, Bata” held last July 8-10, 2004, at the PICC. The event was organized by League of Corporate Foundations. WPFI was invited to showcase the WFMC booth.
WFMC MANAGERS JOIN MALABON OUTREACH
In coordination with the Rotary Club of Pasay, WFMC Clinic Managers Aida Roadel (Valenzuela) Phoebe Bazarte (Camarin) and Francisca dela Cruz (Caybiga), actively assist in blood pressure monitoring and give out brochures on family planning during the outreach program held last August 22,2004 in Barangay Tanong, Malabon City.
AKLAN WFMC MANAGERS SIGN MOA WITH PARTNER DOCTORS
Aklan WFMC Managers recently formalized their alliances with partner doctors Zenaida Tolentino and Velvet Diangson by signing a Memorandum of Agreement last July 31, 2004 at La Esperanza Hotel, Kalibo, Aklan. The meeting was attended by the NORFI Staff, Board President Luis Sarrosa and the JSI-RTI Staff.
FINANCE GOVERNANCE TRAINING HELD
On July 12, 2204, WPFI Board members and Council of Representatives took part in a three-day training course on Finance Governance at the Cebu Holiday Plaza Hotel. The training is the second in a series of seminars conducted by Punla sa Tao Foundation Inc. (PTFI) for the WFPI council of representatives. Five major parts comprised the workshop, as follows: a. The Fiduciary Responsibilities of the WPFI Board b. Financial Reporting and Financial Analysis c. Treasury and Investments d. Internal Control e. Finance Governance Policies The training is in keeping with the foundation’s goal of formulating Finance Governance system. Outline of the will serve as the guide for the development of a Governance Manual, which the PTFI will review and present to the WFPI board.
NORFI Midwives Attend Philhealth Claims Orientation
NORFI WFMC managers attend the Philhealth Maternity Care Package orientation held last September 6, 2004, in Iloilo City. The orientation focused on Claims processing, to help midwives facilitate collection from Philhealth.
