To sustain their business and social development operations, the WFMC midwives and their partner NGOs have formed the Well-Family Midwife Clinic Partnerships Foundation, Inc. (WFPI). This foundation was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on June 18, 2002.

Vision:
We envision the WFMC Partnerships Foundation Inc to be a leading and sustainable national organization nurturing a network of excellent community-based clinics and health service providers that ensure family wellness through family planning and maternal and child care services.

Mission:
The mission of the WFMC Partnerships Foundation Inc. is to:

  • Ensure effectiveness and sustainability of Well-Family Midwife Clinics (WFMCs)
  • Manage the Franchise System of WFMC brand
  • Deliver the essential services including research and development, training and organizational development needs by WFMCs
  • Address the family planning and maternal and child health (FP/MCH) concerns at the community level

Core values:
The Foundation espouses the following values to guide its conduct of affairs:

  • Fairness to All - dispensing services and providing support without restrictions imposed by rank, privilege or monetary clout.

  • Caring / Nurturing - demonstrating genuine concern for the welfare of clients or service recipients and conscientiously extending the needed sustenance or support until the recipient is sufficiently strong to continue on its own.

  • Cooperation - complying voluntarily and cheerfully with policies, rules and regulations and exercising one's expected role in any undertaking without need for prodding or force.

  • Commitment - internalizing roles and responsibilities and performing them with fervor and genuine desire to succeed; complying with policies, rules and regulations and exercising one's role beyond expectations; unwavering performance of one's roles and responsibilities until successfully complied with.

  • Transparency and Trust - willingness to let others see one's work; allowing one's work to be reviewed or assessed objectively by others; submitting one's self to a reliable system of verifying work, building confidence in one's work by the body of evidence available.

  • Communication - openness to receive and give information or advice in whatever form to members of the network and to and from the national organization; openness to each other in confronting difficult situations or in honoring each other in triumphs.

  • Achievement / Competence - delivering all services according to quality standards prescribed by the franchise system at all times, accomplishing tasks and outputs and reaching milestone targets at expected quality levels and at budgetted times and costs.

  • Creativity / Innovation - providing added service or promotional features beyond standards or expected levels; striving to delight customers beyond expectations; finding various ways of overcoming obstacles at minimal stresses or expense to the national organization or to the network members; willing to improve on existing systems and procedures whenever the situation demands it.

  • Synergy - performing one's role properly and clearly in relation to others; working towards the achievement of overall objectives of the network and not individual objectives alone; being concerned with the efficiency and success of the entire network and orienting one's work in relation to it.

  • Excellence - delivering high quality service consistently over time; maintaining highly efficient systems and procedures to ensure high quality service and efficient and effective operations at all times; a motivation to do things better and better each time even well beyond standards; continuously redefining standards to reflect higher quality of work.

Objectives:

  • To deliver the essential services including research and development needed by the Well-Family Midwife Clinics so that they become effective and sustainable enterprises.
  • To address the family planning and maternal and child health concerns in selected Philippine communities by establishing WFMCs and ensuring increased outreach for clients
  • To develop and strengthen the relationships between and among WFMC managers and non-governmental organizations
  • To be financially self-reliant and mobilize resources and funds needed in its operations and by its members
  • To develop the members' core competencies in family planning and maternal and child health care
  • To manage a commodity supply system that will ensure continuous supply of quality but low prices commodities needed by WFMCs

Programs:

WFMC Franchising Program
WFPI shall manage the franchise system for the WFMC network. It shall ensure that the clinics are able to deliver, on a sustained basis, “affordable, convenient, quality health care” to the middle and lower income Filipinos.

The Foundation shall see to it that the service delivery mechanisms and standards of WFMCs are strictly followed. To the best interest and benefit of the WFMC clients the motto: “Quality Care Beyond Compare” shall be the overriding principle among the members.

Business Development and Consultancy Services
To assist WFMCs achieve excellence in providing family planning and maternal and child health care services, WPFI shall provide training and consultancy services for both the clinical and business aspects of WFMC operations.

Marketing
In promoting WFMCs as “one-stop” shops for FP/MCH service, WPFI shall develop and implement different marketing strategies to promote the WFMCs such as sales force development, advocacy meetings, house visits, FP and “Buntis” (pregnant women) parties, institutional marketing, FP/MCH care giving programs and the like.

Human Resource Development
WPFI shall develop a comprehensive Human Resource and Organization Development Program for both the member NGOs and WFMCs. Likewise, a reward and recognition program is also in place to motivate exemplary performance among WFMCs.

 

About the WPFI Logo
The WFMC Partnerships Foundation, Inc. logo is in the form of a circle to symbolize the holistic commitment and humanitarian intention of its members in promoting the wellness of the family through the delivery of excellent and affordable family planning and maternal and child health services to the community.

The RED band that borders the logo represents the DEEP PASSION of its members in pursuing its organizational vision and mission.

The BLUE background represents the CALM PERSEVERANCE of its members in attending to the needs of the community.

The YELLOW silhouette of the clinic represents the ENTREPRENEURIAL OPTIMISM of its members in working towards making their clinics as viable and sustainable health enterprises.

The HEART-SHAPED LOGO of the WFMC brand is placed right at the center of the WPFI logo to accentuate the WFMC as the main vehicle of the Foundation to reach out to the families. Inside the heart is the profile of a family (mother, father and child), whose health and well-being is the raison d’etre of the WFMCs.

The HANDS symbolize the overriding aspiration of the Foundation, guided by the ten (10) Core Values of the Foundation, to offer QUALITY CARE BEYOND COMPARE, through the WFMCs, to the different communities throughout the countryside.
